Boats For Sale

LO Boat Co. can help you buy or sell a wooden runabout.
Call us before you buy or list elsewhere.

But first, please take a moment to read our straight talk policy on buying and selling. Experience has taught us a few things, so we've changed our position just a bit. LOBC has helped many folks over the years find the boat of their dreams and sell the boat of their dreams.  Over the past few years, we’ve had more calls to sell boats than we have had requests for purchase.  Because LO Boat is primarily a restoration shop, we have changed our position on brokering boats.

We would love to assist anyone in the purchase or sale of their boat, but we will no longer represent a boat as a broker.

We will list the boat for free on our website and help to get the word out. We will be happy to act as a third party for the seller or the buyer but will not charge or collect a commission upon making a sale. We will simply charge for any of the time we spend in any requested capacity.  Listing the boat with supplied photos and good text is complimentary. We have an international network of friends and professionals in the hobby and can help locate a buyer for your boat or help you find the boat you’re looking for.

1994 16' Hacker-Designed Gentleman's Boat

This is a tough boat to list.....started in 1992 by my dad and I and completed in '94, this boat needs to move on to an owner that will enjoy it as much as we have for the past 20 years.  It has a double planked 5200 bottom, sides and decks are single planked and glued with 5200. Leather upholstery and a rebuilt 100HP Ford Flathead provide a quick and comfortable ride.  It's not always a dry ride but the driver has control over that. Professionally maintained and always well cared for, this head turning boat is ready to go. Complete with trailering cover, cockpit cover, custom built single axle trailer and everything else you may need. Fresh varnish in spring of 2015.  NY Reg numbers have been removed. Boat is located in Portland, OR.

From sticks to stunning!  This is hull number 100 of 167 built.  This very rare and special race boat has been restored over time with traditional techniques and modern materials. The double planked sides, decks and bottoms will withstand constant use and climate change without moving. Although originally a painted hull, the owner elected to go with stain and varnish, which is beautiful on this boat. The Van Ness rebuilt KL is ready to run. It has 13 coats of Epiphanes varnish on and the upholstery, with kapok cushions was done by our very own Jack Mayeaux.

1947 16' Chris Craft Special Runabout

This boat is all original except for the upholstery and floor material which have been replaced.  It came through LO Boat for a cosmetic overhaul and minor woodworking.  The sides were faired and painted, decks stripped, restained and varnished.  The boat is fun to operate and handles great.  The bottom has been refastened and caulked and swells up quickly.  Once swelled it does not take on any water.  I have had this boat in the water for weeks at a time with no issue.  Comes with everything you need to go boating, a new mooring cover and a nice tandem axle trailer.
Asking $25,000
